It's the way they do it. They drop before they allow retailers to, so that people will cop from them first then Retailers second. Look at the Red Carpet Lebron VIIs for example. Nike sends their shipments to retailers and tells them they can't sell until 12/3. What does Nike do? Drops them a week before everyone else.
