I can't wait for the Celts to sign Sheed(no jinx). If we have KG,Perk, and Sheed crashing the boards teams are in trouble. Ray Allen could be the best 6th
man in the league, but I'm not sure who will start.

Are they going to play Sheed at the 5 and bring Perkins off the bench?

Actually I think the record could be broken sooner than most of yall think. Cleveland went 66-16 this year. 66-16! That's with giving up on their last few
games, not to mention not even having the best team in the league (they were either 3rd or 4th best). That's with Mo Williams, Wally Sczerbiak, Ben
Wallace, Zydrunas, and Delonte West playing next to Lebron.
If Cleveland played every game through and made the move for Shaq last year I can see them winning 70 games. The good teams in the NBA are simply on another level than the rest of the league and the disparity is only getting greater. Seriously, look at all the moves the big teams are making.. Lakers, Cavs, Magic, Celtics.. they all improved on paper and are looking to get better. Rest of the league is standing still while the best 4 teams are breaking out into full sprint. Even the Spurs are making moves. I can see the 4 teams I just mentioned all winning 60+ games this year, with Lakers, Magic, Cavs with real potential to win 65+. Celts and Spurs will crack 60+. Rest of the league will wither and end up with 20, 30, 40 win seasons. |

either way if they stay healthy they win 60-62 games.
unless a team is in serious striking distance of breaking that record or winning 70 games still come early march, i doubt a team really tries to get those records. the goal is to clinch home court advantage then get your team healthy and ready for the playoffs. i don't think we have 2 65 plus win teams and a 62 win team this season. the lakers, celtics, and spurs have all been there before, and the magic and cavs have gotten to the big show before. all 5 of those teams will probably focus on getting home court advantage and once thats been determined, the rest of the teams are going to pace themselves and try to go in the playoffs healthy and well rested.
