Nice look and for those of you that don't play tennis, Nike has been putting out great shoes since the courtposite in 04. Solid shoes, i work out in them and everything. We can discuss McEnroe and the evolution of the trainer later, but my argument is that if Nike can put this out for Nadal at the french... Then they need to do something to honor this. Yes, if he surpasses Pete's grand slam numbers this weekend, Nike should definitely honor Roger (and of course fatten their own pocketbooks) with special edition products. (Too bad there arent any Federer commercial attention like Kobe/Lebron had.)

Rafa has yet to prove anything on the hard courts after Wimbledon. He has some work to do and honestly how long can his knees hold up with his style of play? For me, (and I've commented on this in other tennis treads) its not really fair to compare the tennis players of different eras... Sure, you can say that had Pete played 3 of his 4 slams on grass, he'd be more successful. But at the same time, the quality of the grass courts back in the 60's was very bad, as it was very uneven, which resulted in a lot of bad bounces. Would Pete or Fed have been able to deal with the poor quality of the courts? Or does this mean that Laver handled the conditions extremely well, thus making him better than Pete or Fed? Lets not forget about the difference in equipment as tennis rackets have changed tremendously since the 60's. So, for me, I don't like using the term 'greatest of ALL TIME' because you simply can't compare different players from different eras/generations. But I digress. And finally, for those interested in getting the Vapor VI's (Fed's shoes), BEWARE! They have a 'red-dots' problem, in which red dots begin to appear after a few wears. (This is not my pic)... the spots are underneath the plastic/flywire and can't be washed out. I would have loved for some Wimbledon Zoom Vapor 5's since I love the fitting of the 5's. I thought the white/gold Vapor 6 would have the RF logos, but it looks like they left it for the blk/red US Open version. Don't know why. If all else fails, just release the blk/red Air Oscillates that were made just for Sampras
