A British disabled man, ordered to move out of his home to make way for developers, is believed to have cut off his own head with a chainsaw, police said.

Paramedics and police were called to the scene after receiving a "concern for welfare" report. It was not immediately known as to who made the call.
Approximately, 70 surrounding apartments were empty at the location where they were slated to be bulldozed and replaced with new flats and houses. Phyall, the lone holdout, refused to move despite intense negotiations and a court order. He had lived there since 2000.
An inquest into the 58-year-old's death by deputy central Hampshire coroner Simon Burge listed the possible cause of death as a "complete transaction of the neck" and "chainsaw wound to the neck."
