Also if you do want to go the stock broker route you may want to look into Fidelity (Tysons) Charles Schwab (Alexandria/Old Town) there's a Merril Lynch across the street and a Citi Smith Barney (I would guess there would be a high probability of layoffs at Citi). Or Wachovia Securities (near Tysons or Fairfax I forget).

I've gone through a series of interviews with a small investment banking and brokerage firm that says they have good training and new brokers average between 40-60k a year, but im still somewhat skeptical. The job is also 100% commission with no benefits My fam really doesnt like this.
