other than in north american football, ive always thought that the call is essentially bafoonery.

scoring is the most exciting part of any sport.

and in any free flowing game, to not allow the offense or recipient behind the defense or across a barrier before the object of play is just nonsense.

it hinders scoring and entirely allows defensive players to slack in certain situations.
